"Организация за 400 души!" - Бранка, Сърбия
But then I thought: “Will I ever have this opportunity again???” … and that is how everything started…
National Conference 92nd was very big conference, one of the biggest in last few years. We had a lot of new members, old members, alumni, and people from companies. In the end, there were about 400 people at one place! When I started this project I couldn’t believe that this conference is really going to happen. That was so big and so unthinkable for me. But also it was great challenge.
First, I was afraid because I didn’t know anything about organizing the conference. Now I know that when you do something here, you do it to study, to develop yourself, not because you already know everything. There is a lot of kind and friendly people who can help you, teach you, and make you feel overconfidently. This time, I had great help from my (now I can surely say) friends form Local Committee and National Committee. They were with me whenever I didn’t now how to do something, whenever I felt sad because something goes wrong or when I lost trustiness in whole project. Being there by my side, all those people did great job and so I can say that they are deserved for success of the conference J Six months was very short period of time, and it past so quickly…And suddenly, conference had started! It was in November 2008, at Kladovo, small city in the east of the country. People were coming and coming, from different sides of Serbia, and from other countries. I met a lot of great people there! Each day, there were more and more of them, which means more work and stress for me and my team, but also more great, positive energy, smiles, hugs and wonderful moments! My team on such a big conference like this, has a lot of logistic things to do. But, when you have mission, trust and pleasure of doing something, nothing is hard! I wanted to make those people who came there, especially new AIESEC members, who had their first conference here, to feel comfortably, happy, to laugh and spend wonderful moments. That was my mission! I slept for about thirteen hours for seven days…but when you compare it with happiness and plenitude I felt, I slept much more than I needed J It is amazing feeling when you pass throughout corridor and everyone smiles you, gives you a hug or kisses you! That was my main source of energy…and all those great things you share with your team, you laugh and cry together, dance and sing, talk and scream...but there is always that feeling that you did excellent job, feeling of proud and power… After all those things that National Conference gave me, I’m totally different person! I’m much more positive, self-trusted, smarter, have much more experience, friends, knowledge and most of all, I have one great memory from that 2008…J
